Asheville Citizen-Times: Veterans deserve our best and Hagan will deliver it

Regardless of whether or not you support the wars currently being fought overseas, everyone should be in favor of better care for our courageous veterans. To leave them out in the cold after we have requested that they keep us safe in hostile situations is tragic. Our current government is not doing this job well enough.
North Carolina has a strong military presence, and we need leadership in Washington who will take care of military and veterans’ issues. Kay Hagan will go to bat for our country’s veterans. She supports better benefits for our veterans and a new GI Bill that will make sure veterans are afforded every opportunity they deserve. Hagan is hosting veterans’ town halls all over the state just to speak with veterans about what she can do to help.
North Carolina should let Hagan go to Washington and put all of this dedication and know-how to work for our state and our honored veterans.
