State Senator and U.S. Senate Candidate, Kay Hagan, received an endorsement from the North Carolina Troopers’ Association last week.
The N.C.T.A. works to support the criminal justice system and advance the principles of proper law enforcement.
According to Hagan’s Communications Assistant, Sadie Weiner, the Troopers’ Association cited Kay’s record of working on behalf of public safety and working families.
During her time in the state Senate, Hagan supported and introduced measures that would crack down on sexual predators, increase safety standards at schools, and allocate adequate funds to control gang activity.
In a letter, President of the N.C.T.A., Ron Crawford, wrote that Hagan is “clearly the most qualified candidate for the U.S. Senate.”
Crawford said the Troopers’ Associate believes Hagan’s background and involvement in public safety have qualified her to fill the U.S. Senate’s seat.
