A Democratic candidate for the United States Senate will be paying a visit to Beech Mountain on Wednesday.
Current North Carolina State Senator, Kay Hagan, of Guilford County, will continue her Best Interests, Not The Special Interests tour this week, with a specific focus on her plans to reinvest in rural North Carolina.
Hagan will tour the North Carolina Small Wind Initiative site, which is a partner with Appalachian State University, to learn more about how the state is working on alternative energy development.
Colleen Flanagan, of the Hagan Camp, reported Hagan will also make the trip to learn what more needs to be done to foster such energy development at the federal level.
Hagan will be running against Senator Elizabeth Dole in November’s election.
