Southern Political Report: Dole, Hagan Race Still Close

Southern Political Report
The initial bump that state Sen. Kay Hagan (D) received from her primary victory appears to be lasting, at least according to an Anzalone-Liszt (D) poll taken for her more than a week after the Democratic contest. The survey showed US Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R ) with 48%, Hagan 44%, a strong showing for the lesser known challenger. Dole has been receiving poor poll results for months, a sign of significant weakness.
