Friday in Charlotte: Kay Discusses Proposal To Combat Crime/Gang Violence; Announces Endorsements from Area Sheriffs

GREENSBORO, N.C. – State Senator and U.S. Senate Candidate Kay Hagan (D-Guilford) will continue her “Best Interests, Not the Special Interests” tour this week with a focus on her plan to help keep our streets and schools safe from crime and gang violence. Kay will be in Charlotte to receive the endorsement of Mecklenburg County Sheriff Chipp Bailey in addition to several other area sheriffs. She will be in Asheboro on Friday afternoon to address members of the North Carolina Correctional Association, and will continue her discussion of crime and gang-related violence in Durham on Saturday at a roundtable with local leaders and community activists.
