Friday in Wilmington: Kay Tours Affordable Housing Development; Opens Local Office

GREENSBORO, N.C. – State Senator and U.S. Senate Candidate Kay Hagan (D-Guilford) will be in Wilmington on Friday, continuing her “Best Interests, Not the Special Interests” tour that has taken her all across North Carolina, talking about her plans to invest in the right priorities to move our state forward. In Wilmington, she will focus on proposals that make sense for the middle class. Kay will tour the Lena Springs community, which is a middle-income housing development just outside of Wilmington in Navassa. Joining Kay for the tour will be first-time homeowners, lenders, the developer of the community and members of the Wilmington Housing Authority to share their perspectives on how to make sure working families have access to affordable housing.

Also on Friday, Kay will celebrate the opening of her Wilmington office with volunteers, supporters and staff members.
