Kay Pays Tribute on Gold Star Mother's Day

GREENSBORO, N.C. – State Senator and U.S. Senate Candidate Kay Hagan (D-Guilford) today released the following statement in honor of Gold Star Mother’s Day.

“The men and women who serve our country in our Armed Forces here and around the world sacrifice everything for the sake of our freedom, safety and opportunity. Gold Star Mother’s Day gives us all a chance to honor the parents of our servicemen and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice and were killed in the line of duty. Though it is difficult to understand their sorrow completely, we can take this day to thank these women for the support and courage they have shown. Today we fly the American flag in their honor and as tribute to their brave children.”
