Monday: Kay Holds 5th Vets Town Hall in Fayetteville; Participates in Agribusiness Forum in Raleigh

August 15, 2008

GREENSBORO, N.C. – State Senator and U.S. Senate Candidate Kay Hagan (D-Guilford) will be in Fayetteville on Monday to continue her discussion of veterans issues and concerns at her fifth Veterans Town Hall. All area veterans are invited to come meet Kay and share their stories and concerns with her. Kay comes from a strong military family – her husband, Chip, is a Vietnam veteran; her father-in-law is a two star general; and she has two nephews on active duty. She has already met with veterans in Greensboro, Cary, Charlotte, and Tarboro.

On Monday evening, Kay will participate in the North Carolina Agribusiness Council Forum to discuss issues of importance with the agribusiness community. Kay has been discussing farming and rural issues as a part of her “Best Interests, Not The Special Interests” tour that has taken her from wind farms in Boone to fishing rigs in Wanchese to Pender Sharp’s farm in Sims to discuss her plan to reinvest in rural North Carolina. You can read more about Kay’s plan at http://www.kayhagan.com/issues/rural.
