Saturday: Hagan in Reidsville, Salisbury and Hickory
GREENSBORO, NC – State Senator and U.S. Senate Candidate Kay Hagan (D-Guilford) will attend three events tomorrow, Saturday, June 14, in Reidsville, Salisbury and Hickory. Kay will begin the morning at the Rockingham County Democratic Breakfast and deliver the keynote address in Reidsville. Then she travels to Salisbury for a Juneteenth celebration honoring the historical June 19th emancipation of African-Americans in Texas, who did not hear President Lincoln had issued the Emancipation Proclamation months earlier. She will then host her second Carolina Family Reunion in Hickory in order to introduce her immediate family to supporters – Kay’s extended North Carolinian family.
