Statement of Kay Hagan on Coast Guard Day

GREENSBORO, NC- State Senator and U.S. Senate Candidate Kay Hagan (D-Guilford) released the following statement in honor of Coast Guard Day.

“Since 1790, the United States Coast Guard has kept our nation’s waters safe and played an integral role in homeland security, law enforcement and search and rescue efforts. Without individuals like you, America would not be the country it is today. An additional thank you is also deserved to the families of our Coast Guard members, who provide an unparalleled base of support for them. The United States Coast Guard motto, ‘Always Ready,’ has meant that Americans can always rest easy under these brave men and womens’ protection.”
