This Week in Lenoir and Albemarle: Women for Kay Gather To Decorate Ruby Red Slippers Highlighting an Issue Dole Has Neglected

GREENSBORO, NC – Women for Kay in Caldwell County and Stanly County will gather this week for Ruby Red Slippers Decorating Parties. The Caldwell County party will take place on Tuesday, July 8, at 7 p.m. in Lenoir. The Stanly County party will take place on Thursday, July 10, at 6 p.m. in Albemarle. Throughout the campaign, Kay has said she wants to give Elizabeth Dole a pair of Ruby Red Slippers so she can click her heels three times and go back to Kansas with her husband, Bob. Kay’s supporters at the party will decorate their own pair of slippers highlighting an issue they feel has been neglected by Elizabeth Dole. Kay’s daughter Carrie will be at the events to meet supporters and decorate her own pair of slippers. Ruby Red Slippers Decorating Parties will be taking place throughout the state, with a larger event in the fall.
