Thursday in Charlotte and Raeford: Kay Holds Third Vets Town Hall; Talks about Her Plans To Fix Washington

July 23, 2008

GREENSBORO, N.C. – State Senator and U.S. Senate Candidate Kay Hagan (D-Guilford) will be in Charlotte on Thursday, July 24, to host her third Veterans Town Hall. The event is a chance for Kay to meet local veterans, listen to their concerns and talk to them about her record advocating for veterans and the military. Veterans issues are important to Kay as she comes from a strong military family. Her husband, Chip, is a Vietnam veteran and she has two nephews who are on active duty. Kay has already met with veterans in Greensboro and Cary.

After the Veterans Town Hall, Kay will join Hoke County Sheriff Hubert Peterkin to speak with residents of Hoke County about her record of results in the state Senate and her ideas to fix what’s broken in Washington.
