Thursday in Concord and Clayton: Women for Kay Throw Ruby Red Slippers Decorating Parties
GREENSBORO, NC – Women for Kay in Johnston County and Cabarrus County will gather Thursday evening, June 26, for Ruby Red Slippers Decorating Parties. The Johnston County party will take place at the home of a supporter in Clayton, and the Cabarrus County event will be held at the Stowe-Away restaurant in Concord. Throughout the campaign, Kay has said she wants to give Elizabeth Dole a pair of Ruby Red Slippers so she can click her heels three times and go back to Kansas with her husband, Bob. Kay’s supporters at the party will decorate their own pair of slippers to highlight an issue they feel has been neglected by Elizabeth Dole. Women for Kay in Haywood County have already thrown their own Ruby Red Slippers Decorating Party, and more parties will be taking place throughout the state, with a larger event in the fall.
