Thursday in Waynesville: Women for Kay Gather To Decorate Ruby Red Slippers
GREENSBORO, NC – Women for Kay in Haywood County will gather at the county Democratic headquarters in Waynesville on Thursday evening, June 19, for a Ruby Red Slippers Decorating Party. Throughout the campaign, Kay has said she wants to give Elizabeth Dole a pair of Ruby Red Slippers so she can click her heels three times and go back to Kansas with her husband, Bob. Kay’s supporters at the party will decorate their own pair of slippers highlighting an issue they feel has been neglected by Elizabeth Dole. Kay’s daughter Carrie will be at the event in Waynesville to meet supporters and decorate her own pair of slippers. Ruby Red Slippers Decorating Parties will be taking place throughout the state, with a larger event in the fall.
