GREENSBORO, NC – On Thursday, State Senator and U.S. Senate Nominee Kay Hagan (D-Guilford) will attend the North Carolina State General Assembly’s Special Session to commemorate Greensboro’s Bicentennial at North Carolina A&T University’s Harrison Auditorium. Kay has represented Greensboro and Guilford County in the state Senate since 1999. This event marks the first time the General Assembly has been formally held in Greensboro or at an historically black university.
Following the special session in Greensboro, Kay will attend and speak at the opening of the North Carolina National Guard Greensboro Family Assistance Center, which will provide 1,500 square feet of much-needed assistance for families of all military members before, during and after a deployment.
