October 10, 2008
GREENSBORO, N.C. – State Senator and U.S. Senate Candidate Kay Hagan (D-Guilford) will attend several festivals and parades this weekend while she continues meeting voters and talking with them about her plans to fix what is broken in Washington. Kay will start the weekend in Greensboro where she will walk with Congressman Mel Watt in North Carolina A&T University’s Homecoming Parade. After the parade, Kay will head to Gibsonville to celebrate with Alamance County residents at the Gibsonville Fall Festival. Next, Kay will attend the Dixie Classic Fair in Winston-Salem, which is the second largest agricultural fair in North Carolina. Finally, Kay will attend a barbeque in Morganton hosted by Burke County Sheriff John McDevitt, a local supporter.
On Sunday, Kay will speak at the Blue and Gold Star Mothers’ event in Greensboro. Blue Star Mothers is a group of families who have an active duty son or daughter serving our country, and they work to support any and all military families.
